Beech in the Gulf
Oil it, and it outlives the workshop.
European beech is dense, stable and easy to flatten, but it moves with humidity. RAMIA oils the PRO, Diamond, Folding and School benches at the factory; the lighter Hobby models arrive untreated. In the UAE we recommend a light oil on arrival and a re-oil every 6–12 months — a 20-minute job. Keep it out of direct sun and off a wet floor and the top will be flattened, not replaced, decades from now.

RAMIA questions, answered
Which RAMIA series do I need?
PRO benches (Premium, Premium Plus, Premium Monster, Premium Superb, Multi-bench) have solid tops from 40 to 100 mm, dovetail or finger-joint construction and PRO-size vices — for daily professional use. HOBBY benches (Advanced, Diamond, Finish It Yourself, Folding, portable) are block-laminated 30 mm tops for home workshops and lighter professional use. SCHOOL benches seat two to four students with a vice each.
What is the difference between Premium, Premium Plus, Monster and Superb?
Same family, rising rigidity: Premium is finger-joint with a 40 mm top and 500 × 55 mm front vice; Premium Plus keeps the finger joint but moves to a 50 mm top and the 520 × 70 / 450 × 140 mm PRO vices; Premium Monster is dovetail-jointed with the flat-guide tail-vice spindle; Premium Superb is double-dovetail with an 80 mm top and a 700 × 100 mm chain-gear front vice.
What does a COMBO include?
The bench plus RAMIA's storage cupboard (PRO II for PRO benches, HOBBY II for Hobby benches) and an accessory set — PROFI (anvil, pair of clamps, aluminium and cork jaw protectors) or HOBBY (clamps and protectors). It is the fastest way to a complete workstation and is priced below buying the parts separately.
Are the benches oiled?
PRO, Diamond, Folding and School benches leave the factory with a natural oil finish. Advanced, Finish It Yourself, Clever Worktop, Flexible Friend and Kid's 1000 are supplied untreated — part of why they cost less. In the Gulf climate we recommend oiling untreated benches before first use and re-oiling every 6–12 months; ADW can pre-oil before delivery.
Do they arrive assembled?
Most models ship dismantled with RAMIA's illustrated instructions (downloadable on each product page); assembly takes one to two hours with two people. ADW offers on-site assembly anywhere in the UAE.
Can a bench be set up for a left-handed user?
Diamond, Folding, Finish It Yourself and Multi-bench 2000 are pre-bored so the vices can be mounted for left- or right-handed use. Ask us about the other models — most can be ordered mirrored.
Is ADW the official RAMIA distributor?
